Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I am so excited to share this journey with all of you. I have always loved writing and entertaining family with stories. In 2014, I had to undergo pretty major surgery and I discovered that I am not good at sitting. I went back to work a week after being cut open hipbone to hipbone and pushed myself harder than I should have. I earned myself two weeks of bedrest in the process and in the course of sitting home and feeling sorry for myself, a story formed in my mind. As I thought about how miserable things were, a part of me knew it could be worse. I used that theme in developing From This Day Forward.
I wrote a good chunk of the book in two weeks, but chickened out when it came to putting myself out there. I don't like the vulnerability that comes along with bravery, but luckily I have a husband and friends who would not give up on me. I took the National Novel Writing Month challenge (NaNoWriMo) in November of 2015 and gave these characters new life. I should also mention that I gave my characters the story they deserve while working full-time, finishing up my Bachelor's degree, and raising two little humans. I don't like to be idle...obviously.
Just this week, I sent the cover images to my designer. It's getting real and I couldn't be more thrilled to be embarking on this journey.
Thanks for joining me.
